The worship of Big Cove Presbyterian Church is in the Reformed Tradition, which means that the Word of God is central, and that our worship is our prayer of praise to our God. Worship nurtures us to go forth in service.
In keeping with the principles of the Reformation, Big Cove Church celebrates two sacraments: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The Lord’s Supper is open to all who desire a closer relationship with our Lord. It is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month at the 11 AM service and every Sunday at the 9:00 AM service.
A typical service of worship includes preparing our hearts for worship by tuning out distractions and focusing on the Lord; singing; welcoming one another; hearing the Good News read and the message proclaimed; praying for each other and the world; giving an offering to the work of the church; gathering at the Lord’s Table; and going into the world as ministers of Jesus Christ. Worship attire for both services runs the gamut from jeans to suits.
At Big Cove Presbyterian Church, we believe that worship is our joyful response to the God who loves us!
